The President’s Volunteer Service Award
Certifying Organization for The President’s Volunteer Service Award
The CNCS (Corporation for National and Community Service), an organization that administers the President’s Volunteer Service Award, certifies organizations and committees that meet authorization qualifications to award the President’s Volunteer Service awards to volunteers.
Washington Sorichung became one of the certifying organizations by meeting all the authorization qualifications.
Certifying Organizations: Organizations that have met the authorization qualifications and has the authority to award President’s Volunteer Service Awards to volunteers.
CNCS: A federal agency that administers the President’s Volunteer Award
(ex) Nonprofit/Schools or institutions/Churches and other religious organizations/businesses/volunteer agencies/government offices/Overseas USA institutions (army included)
About The President’s Volunteer Service Award:
The President’s Volunteer Service Award was created in 2002 by President George Bush. This award was created after the 911 terror to strengthen volunteerism and community service in USA. This award’s purpose is to advocate volunteer services.
INFO:
1. This award does not place importance in the quantity of the award.
2. Only US citizens and legal residents can be awarded.
3. Only acts of pure volunteer services can be accepted.
4. Community Service with rewards is not accepted.
5. Community Service as ordered by courts is not accepted.
6. Charity or donation services is not important in the requirement.

대통령 봉사상 프로그램을 관장하는 CNCS (대통령 봉사상 프로그램을 관장하는 미국 연방정부 산하의 전국 커뮤니티서비스 협회 )는 일정자격을 갖춰 인가를 받은 기관 혹은 단체에 한해 대통령 봉사 활동상 수상자를 추천하고 시상할수 있는 권한을 위임하고 있습니다.
워싱턴 소리청 한국 음악 연구소가 이러한 인증자격을 신청하여 심하해 허가를 받은 인증단체가 되였습니다. 이러한 상을 줄수있는 단체를 Certifying Organization 이라고 합니다.

오바마 대통령 봉사활동 상에 관하여-
이상은 2002 년 George Washington Bush President 당시 제정한 자원 봉사상입니다. 9.11 테러사건 이후 커뮤니티 봉사정신과 자원 봉사심을 고취시키고 격려하며 일깨우기 위한 캠페인의 일환으로 만들어진 상입니다. 이 상의 주 목적은 자원 봉사에 대한 인식을 고취 시키는 것이라고 합니다.

1.어떤 상이든 권위나 영예가 주어지려면 우선 희소성이 있어야하는데 이상은 그런종류의 상이 아닙니다.
2.미국내의 영주권자와 시민권자만이 대통령 봉사상을 받을수 있습니다.
3.자원봉사 활동을 실제적으로 수행한 순수한 자원봉사 활동만이 인정됩니다. (수상 심사의 판단기준)
4.어떤 직장에서 특별한 고가점수을 받기위해 의무적으로 수행하는 봉사는 고려되지 않습니다.
5.법원에서 명령한 커뮤니티 봉사도 이상에는 해당되지 않습니다.
6.자선 행사를 베풀거나 기부활동을 한 봉사는 이상의 자격에서 중요하지 않습니다.
